Thank you, Megan- you were fantastic! This was the clearest explanation I've ever heard or seen about the interpretive mode. Looking forward to October 15!
Thank you so much for providing this webinar and for presenting! I love that IPA book! So organized and clear and gave me lots of ideas!
Thank-you very much . I do not agree with the part of having them answer in English.
Wonderful presentation. Thank you.
Excellent information about Interpretive mode.
I teach in centers and I could use the Rubrics and pinterest and also Inferences for my Listening Lab!
Thank you for providing this presentation
Which rubric of the 4 would cover identifying Main ideas / some details?
Toby: The interpretive template found in the book, "Implementing Integrated Performance Assessments," has a separate rubric for main idea and for supporting details. I encourage you to get the book to view the whole template!
Thank you for this webinar
Important of the realistic aspect of the task
I don't agree with the students speaking English in. class
Thank you for viewing the webinar. Please note that I do not have students speaking in English in class - I aim for 90% target language use for me and my students. During the interpretive tasks, students are reading in the target language and completing some parts of the task in the target language, other parts of the task in English. This all depends on the proficiency level of the student and what the task is trying to assess - comprehension or target language use. I would encourage you to buy the ACTFL book "Implementing Integrated Performance Assessments" to see the whole template and view the ACTFL recommendations.
Thank you Megan and Vista Higher Learning for this very informative Webinar, I took notes and this comes at a great time because I am planning to rate my students on the interpretive mode and was confused how to go about that. I watched the archived webinar and would love to have a certificate for my Act 48. my email is email@example.com. I will be in the webinar tonight for the presentational mode.
Morgan, thank you for your Webinar. Your rubrics for evaluating student performances with regards to cultural perspective comparisons are useful. Thank you.
What kinds of authentic texts do you use in your Spanish classes? We are looking to change our curriculum and need something that is more specific to proficiency.
